Our Story
-
Delphi Gardens began in 2001 as the private home and horse farm of Evan & Joyce Demestihas. From the beginning, the land was curated as a sanctuary: a place for family life, animals and nature, designed for gathering and celebration.
Today our doors are open for retreats, celebrations and unforgettable stays— just 30 minutes from Atlanta. The Greenhouse, Chef’s Pavilion, Bluestone Terrace, St Stylianos Chapel, and many gardens each offer their own charm, yet together form an experience that feels both secluded and connected.
Every booking includes access to the scenic venues that make our property unique so guests can enjoy the rare balance of privacy, elegance, and convenience. Delphi Gardens is truly a world apart, yet close to everything—a place where celebrations are elevated, retreats find clarity, and every stay becomes unforgettable. text goes here

Delphi Gardens is a private 9-acre garden that invites individuals and communities to enjoy rest, reflection and renewal. Through immersive wellness retreats, inspired gatherings of all kinds and heartfelt hospitality, Delphi Gardens cultivates connection to self, to community and to the living world that sustains us. Through our long-standing relationship with Make-A-Wish Georgia, a portion of proceeds from sales, as well as the generosity of our visitors, are donated to support and help sustain the mission of Make-A-Wish.
Make an Impact Today
Delphi Gardens is more than a place to gather, it’s a place to give back. Since 2016 our Foundation has donated nearly $200,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia, helping create life-changing experiences for children and their families in our community. Every retreat, celebration, and gathering hosted on the property contributes to something larger than the moment itself. When you celebrate at Delphi Gardens, you’re supporting a mission rooted in care, community, and meaningful impact.
Here, honoring life and giving back go hand in hand.
Meet Our Team
Evan Demestihas, MD
Founder & Curator, Chairman, Delphi Gardens Foundation
Joyce Demestihas, PT, MA
Founder & Healing Arts Host
Evan and Joyce Demestihas are high school sweethearts originally from Brooklyn, New York, now approaching their golden wedding anniversary. Together, they have built a rich family life, raising four children and delighting in ten grandchildren.
Evan is both a pharmacist and a physician, and Joyce is a physical therapist—careers rooted in service, healing, and deep care for others. After retiring several years ago, they began thoughtfully transforming their home and surrounding property into what has become Delphi Gardens.
Now residing in Buckhead to be closer to their children and grandchildren, Evan and Joyce have been able to dedicate renewed energy to shaping Delphi Gardens as a place of beauty, gathering, and generosity. Envisioned as both a sanctuary and a community asset, the gardens reflect their lifelong values of connection, stewardship, and giving back.
They remain actively involved in the ongoing development and stewardship of Delphi Gardens and the Delphi Gardens Foundation, ensuring that their vision, hopes, and guiding principles continue to flourish—bringing joy and inspiration to the community for generations to come.
